Job description
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Operations / Materials Management professional to support a key manufacturing site in Normandy. This role focuses on strengthening procurement operations, optimising materials management processes, and enhancing organisational effectiveness on-site.
You will work closely with the permanent Procurement lead and act as an operational orchestrator - aligning people, processes, tools, and communication channels to ensure a structured and high-performing procurement environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and optimise Materials Management (MM) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) operations
Assess organisational structure and implement task-force style coordination where needed
Clarify and streamline communication channels across procurement, supply chain, and operational stakeholders
Ensure procurement tools and systems are effectively managed and fully integrated
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across materials and procurement operations
Strengthen supplier relationship processes from an operational and performance perspective
Align operational delivery with broader procurement strategy
Ideal Profile
Strong hands-on experience in Materials Management and P2P environments
Background in operational procurement within manufacturing or industrial settings
Proven ability to improve ways of working, governance, and cross-functional collaboration
Continuous improvement mindset (Lean / Six Sigma experience highly desirable)
Strong stakeholder engagement skills across supply chain, procurement, and suppliers
Ability to understand strategic objectives while delivering operational execution (project-oriented approach)
CIPS beneficial but not mandatory
APICS / CPIM or equivalent materials management certification advantageous
Languages
Fluent French (essential for site integration in Octeville)
