Job Title: SAP Controlling (CO) Functional Expert

Location: Fully Remote
Type: Contract, 6-12 months

About the Role
Our global pharmaceutical client is looking for an SAP Controlling Functional Expert to play a key role in optimising and transforming their ERP controlling landscape. This role combines deep SAP controlling expertise with strategic involvement in global ERP initiatives, supporting business stakeholders, Digital teams, and support functions to ensure smooth operations and deliver measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain stable ERP operations and documentation, driving continuous improvement of controlling processes.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions and validate designs to meet enterprise standards.
  • Support global ERP transformation projects, including testing, cutover, and hypercare activities.
  • Collaborate with Architecture, Integration, and Data teams to ensure solutions are compliant, secure, and integrated.
  • Partner with global finance stakeholders to improve processes, reduce incident volumes, and optimise user experience.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years' experience in ERP delivery, preferably SAP controlling, within a global pharmaceutical or FMCG environment.
  • Deep expertise in controlling modules: Material Ledger, Product Costing (CO-PC), Profitability Analysis (COPA), Cost & Profit Center Accounting (CO-OM), budgeting, cost allocation, and period-end closing.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes and ability to translate them into technical solutions.
  • Experience working in global, complex ERP landscapes with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
