Job description
WAN / SD-WAN Engineer
Location: Europe (CET preferred) | Remote
We're supporting a global organisation as they transition from legacy MPLS to a modern SD-WAN environment. They're looking for a hands-on WAN Engineer to take ownership of the rollout and strengthen their network capability in-house.
This is a practical, delivery-focused role. You'll play a key part in moving the business towards a more scalable and secure network architecture, with SD-WAN as the priority initiative.
The Role
Lead and support the SD-WAN rollout across international sites
Oversee WAN connectivity, bandwidth management, contracts and carrier relationships
Create and maintain documentation, SOPs and asset inventory
Act as an escalation point for WAN and internet issues, troubleshooting where required
Work closely with local sites and operations teams across Europe and the US
Support ongoing analysis of the WAN landscape and identify areas for improvement
What We're Looking For
5+ years' experience as a WAN or Network Engineer
Strong experience with WAN technologies and network connectivity
Exposure to SD-WAN implementations
Comfortable in a hands-on, operational environment
Confident communicator, able to work directly with sites and external carriers
Based in Europe, with flexibility to support rollouts across time zones when needed
Nice to Have
Exposure to SASE architecture as part of an SD-WAN journey
Experience transitioning from MPLS to SD-WAN
Why Consider It
High impact role in a global transformation programme
Autonomy and ownership of a key network initiative
Mostly remote working with international exposure
If you're looking for a role where you can genuinely shape and deliver an SD-WAN transformation rather than just maintain the status quo, this could be worth a conversation - please APPLY now to upload an up to date copy of your CV.
