Job Title: Infrastructure / Network Architect - Physical Security Systems
The Role
We are looking for a senior Infrastructure / Network Architect to help to define and implement the target IT architecture, supporting physical security technologies across a global estate of industrial and corporate sites.
The focus of the role is to ensure that CCTV, Access Control and Intrusion Detection solutions are deployed securely, properly segregated, and fully aligned with enterprise network, infrastructure and cybersecurity frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Design and define the overarching IT architecture for physical security environments, covering network topology, server landscapes, hosting approaches and segmentation strategy
Carry out site-level IT and network assessments to evaluate readiness and identify gaps
Architect the secure integration of IP-based security systems within the wider corporate infrastructure
Contribute to and formalise standards relating to network segmentation, connectivity models, hosting strategy and cybersecurity compliance
Collaborate closely with Network, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity and local IT teams across regions
Assess legacy or TSA-related constraints and define practical mitigation or transition plans
Develop reference architectures, technical principles and supporting documentation
Support the rollout and scaling of the programme across multiple sites globally
Your Background
7-10+ years' experience in Network Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture or Systems Engineering
Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts including LAN, WAN, SD WAN, VLANs and firewall design
Good working knowledge of server infrastructure and virtualisation technologies
Solid grounding in cybersecurity principles
Proven experience integrating IP-based physical security systems such as CCTV, Access Control or Intrusion Detection into corporate networks
Experience operating within industrial or multi-site environments is advantageous
Comfortable leading technical assessments and producing structured architecture documentation
Confident engaging with cross-functional stakeholders across IT, Cyber and Physical Security teams
Exposure to industrial or OT environments is beneficial
Desirable Experience
Awareness of HSE or site safety considerations
Practical understanding of physical security system operations
Involvement in SOC design or operational environments
