Job Title: Senior Network Security Engineer

About the Company:
Conexus are working with a leading global company specialising in the development of high-purity pharmaceuticals. As part of a family-owned enterprise, their Vienna site is the largest production and research hub, contributing to the ongoing success of their international operations.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage advanced network security solutions (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, etc.)
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and training plans related to network security
- Provide architectural consulting expertise to local and global network teams
- Conduct research and recommend security products, services, and standards
- Create and maintain network security documentation and processes
- Interact with vendors and negotiate product/service agreements
- Review existing security designs and recommend improvements
- Manage the lifecycle of multiple security technologies and enterprise agreements
Your Profile:
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in network security, particularly in global or enterprise environments
- Expertise in strategic network architecture and operational excellence
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, CCNP Security)
- Strong experience with Cisco security products (CCNP, CCNA, CCIE, etc.)
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
