Conexus are currently partnered with a pharmaceutical client with a global footprint who are currently recruiting for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, to join them on a permanent basis in Vienna, Austria.
As the Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be part of a global team tasked with maintaining and ensuring the reliability and integrity of backup solutions for critical operational technology (OT) systems across multiple production sites. Your role will be central to safeguarding industrial data, ensuring business continuity, and aligning IT backup strategies with overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, implement, and maintain OT backup solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve backup process and system issues.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Document backup configurations, procedures, and recovery plans.
- Monitor and proactively address potential issues in backup operations.
- Collaborate with IT and OT teams to align backup strategies with company goals.
- Plan and manage storage capacity for backup needs.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to minimise downtime and data loss.
- Benchmark and implement new backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in IT/OT environments.
- Proficiency in backup and restore of infrastructure components such as VMware, Windows, Linux, SQL, and/or Oracle.
- Knowledge of operational technology (OT) systems is highly advantageous.
- Experience in GxP environments is preferred.
- Strong understanding of VMware, Windows, Linux, and databases.
