Job description
Conexus are exclusively partnered with a global consumer goods company that is looking for a Senior BI Developer to join their team in Dusseldorf on a permanent basis.
You will be working closely with subject matter experts to design, build, and operationalise large-scale enterprise data solutions using one or more Azure data and analytics services.
Your responsibilities as a Senior BI Developer:
- Work closely with subject matter experts and data/business analysts to understand business data and related processes.
- Power BI semantic data modelling and dashboards for requested initiatives.
- Design and build production data pipelines.
- Analyse, rebuild and re-platform on-premises data stores/databases to a modern data platform in Azure cloud using Microsoft Azure.
- Implement rules and automate data cleansing, mapping, transformation, logging, and exception handling.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to drive technology strategy, analyse and test products, conduct proof-of-concept studies, and test new technologies and methodologies on medium to small projects.
- Review client solution designs to ensure technology appropriateness, standards compliance, and platform capacity alignment.
- Maintain documentation related to datasets and analysis and ensure that everyone on the data team uses the same language and definitions.
- Work with the platform team to find ways to improve systems, businesses, and processes to get high-quality data.
Successful Senior BI Developers will meet the following requirements:
- 7-10 years of experience analysing data as part of BI/Analytics solution initiatives
- Experience in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Python, Databricks and Power BI
- Coding skills in relevant languages for the Microsoft Azure environment (SQL, Python, C#, .NET, Dockers, DevOps, Terraform, shell scripting)
- Experience working with Agile Methodology and Kanban
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse and distribute large amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Fluent in English, German is desirable
