Job Description:

As a Supply Chain & Manufacturing Platforms Architect, you will play a pivotal role in driving the design and implementation of robust and efficient supply chain and manufacturing platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including technology, operations, and business stakeholders, to define and deliver scalable and reliable solutions that optimize the manufacturing processes. Your expertise will be instrumental in aligning technology strategies with business objectives, ensuring seamless integration of platforms, and enhancing overall operational performance.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for supply chain and manufacturing platforms, considering the company's long-term objectives and emerging industry trends.
  2. Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand operational challenges and identify opportunities for technological enhancements.
  3. Design and architect end-to-end supply chain and manufacturing solutions, including systems integration, data flow, and process optimization.
  4. Evaluate and select appropriate software, hardware, and technology solutions to support the company's manufacturing operations.
  5. Provide guidance and technical expertise to project teams throughout the software development life cycle, ensuring adherence to architectural principles and best practices.
  6. Collaborate with enterprise architects to align supply chain and manufacturing platforms with the overall enterprise architecture framework.
  7. Define and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and interoperability across systems and processes.
  8. Conduct regular assessments and audits to identify opportunities for improvement, scalability, and cost optimization within the supply chain and manufacturing landscape.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact on the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry and advising stakeholders accordingly.
  10. Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an architect or senior technical lead in supply chain and manufacturing platforms within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes and manufacturing operations.
  • Strong expertise in designing and implementing scalable and secure software architectures, including systems integration, data management, and cloud technologies.
  • Proficiency in enterprise architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF or Zachman, and familiarity with architectural patterns and methodologies is desireable.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and manufacturing execution systems (MES) is essential.
  • SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable, particularly within SAP APO/IBP.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset and the ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills, especially German or Spanish, would be advantageous.
