Conexus are currently partnered with a leading electronics company in Nuremberg, Germany, that are looking at increasing their current SAP capabilities. On that basis, we are searching for a SAP Basis Expert to join them on a permanent basis.
As an SAP Systems Administrator, you will play a key role in managing the SAP ecosystem, both on-prem and in the cloud, ensuring seamless operation and optimisation. This includes managing SAP systems such as ECC, EWM/TM, SAP Frontend, BTP, Solution Manager, and their interfaces. You will also be responsible for installations, upgrades, monitoring, and user administration while actively contributing to system transformations and cloud migration projects, such as the upcoming S/4 HANA transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation of SAP systems on-premise and develop expertise in managing SAP systems on cloud platforms.
- Administer and optimise SAP environments, including ECC, EWM/TM, SAP Frontend, BTP, Solution Manager, and relevant databases (Oracle, MaxDB, HANA).
- Monitor system performance, carry out regular backups, and execute restore operations to ensure business continuity.
- Conduct system upgrades, install enhancement packages, release changes, kernel updates, and manage system and client copies.
- Collaborate in the design and development of future-oriented software systems and architectures, with an active role in S/4 HANA transformation projects.
- Manage system transports, administer users, and resolve support requests, incidents, service requests, and change management processes.
- Support in the design and implementation of SAP authorisation management for secure and compliant access.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Several years of practical experience in SAP systems administration, including ECC, EWM/TM, BTP, and Solution Manager.
- Knowledge of system installations, upgrades, kernel updates, system copies, and interface management.
- Basic understanding of programming in ABAP to support customisation and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with relevant databases (Oracle, MaxDB, HANA) and the Linux operating system for efficient system operation.
- Experience or interest in collaborating on the transformation to SAP S/4 HANA and future-oriented system architecture.
- A solution-oriented and structured approach to resolving technical issues, along with a strong willingness to learn and adapt.
- Strong sense of responsibility, commitment, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Proficient in German and English, with a minimum B2 level in both languages.
