Senior Tech Lead - AI-Assisted Software Engineering
India | Fully Remote | Part-Time | Freelance Contract
We are supporting a global organisation looking for an experienced Senior Tech Lead to take ownership of the technical delivery of a new production application.
This is a part-time, fully remote freelance opportunity based in India, combining hands-on full-stack engineering, Azure/DevOps, solution architecture and AI-assisted development.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the technical architecture, development and delivery of the application.
- Develop and extend the solution using AI-assisted coding tools.
- Lead full-stack development and maintain strong code quality.
- Translate requirements into scalable technical designs.
- Manage testing, deployment, cutover and post-go-live support.
- Establish reusable AI development practices, frameworks and guardrails.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.
- Drive continuous improvement across development processes.
Essential Experience
- 8+ years' software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on full-stack development experience.
- ReactJS, TypeScript/JavaScript and NestJS.
- PostgreSQL, Docker and CI/CD.
- Azure experience including Container Apps, PostgreSQL, Key Vault and Entra ID.
- Terraform, Git/GitHub and GitHub Actions.
- Experience building production-grade applications.
- Hands-on use of AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude.
- Strong understanding of APIs and modern software architectures.
- Ability to manage technical delivery independently.
Experience within a regulated or pharmaceutical environment is advantageous.
